Veteran American basketball coach Curt Miller serves as the head coach of the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA. Born on October 5, 1968, in Girard, Pennsylvania, Miller's coaching journey began after graduating from Girard High School in 1986, he attended Baldwin Wallace College, where he earned his college degree in 1990. During his college years, he gained valuable experience by working with the Girard boys' basketball team during his breaks and start involving in coaching.

Miller's coaching career took off as an assistant at Colorado State, where he contributed to the team's remarkable 81-20 record over three seasons. In 2015, he joined the Los Angeles Sparks as an assistant coach before taking on the role of head coach for the Connecticut Sun from 2016 to 2022. During this time Miller earned the WNBA Coach of the Year honors twice, in 2017 and 2021. Under his leadership, the Sun reached the WNBA Finals twice, in 2019 and 2022, and made six playoff appearances in his seven seasons with the team. Once again in 2023, Los Angeles Sparks hired Miller but this time as a head coach.

As a head coach at the collegiate level miller won 290 games for two different college teams before moving forward to a professional league, the WNBA.

Miller’s coaching experience got a big boost when he was hired as a head coach at Indiana University for the women's basketball team in 2012. In his debut season at Indiana, he led the University team to its most wins in three years. Before the start of the 2012-13 season, his impressive winning percentage ranked 13th overall among all active NCAA Division I women's basketball head coaches.

Before that, he joined the Bowling Green State University team as a head coach in 2001 and continued as a head coach for 11 seasons, in that period he compiled an overall record of 258-92 which was a record win for any collegiate coach. For that college success Miller was recognized as the Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year a record-breaking six times and received WBCA Region 4 Coach of the Year honors on four occasions, making him a finalist for National Coach of the Year four times.
