Yuvraj Singh was born on 12 December 1981 in Chandigarh, Punjab to Shabnam Singh and Yograj Singh. His father Yograj, is also a former Indian cricketer. He pursued his primary and secondary level education in DAV Public School, Chandigarh. He has also appeared as a child artist in a couple of Punjabi movies.
