The Lyon Open is a professional men's tennis event on the ATP Tour that takes place every year in the French city of Lyon. It is a part of the ATP 250 Series and is also known as the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Lyon in French language. This is a clay court tournament which is played in Lyon, France. The 2020 edition of the Lyon Open will be held from Feb 29 to Mar 08, 2020.
Earlier, the Open de Nice Côte d'Azur used to take place on the ATP calendar which got replaced by this. This tournament got established in the year 2017 where home favorite Jo Wilfried Tsonga defeated the Czech Republic player Tomas Berdych by a margin of 7-6 (7-2), 7-5 to clinch the title in the singles event. In the doubles event, it was the pair of Andres Molteni (Argentina) and Adil Shamasdin (Canada) that defeated Marcus Daniell (New Zealand) and Marcelo Demoliner (Brazil) by 6-3, 3-6, [10-5] to take the trophy home.
