Deebo Samuels fills out the wide receiver spot, playing for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League as of 2024. He was drafted by the 49ers in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft. Deebo in his first four seasons has already established himself as one of the best players in the NFL. In 2021, he earned first-team All-Pro honors and was selected to the Pro Bowl. In college, he was a standout at South Carolina, where he received first-team All-American and All-SEC accolades in 2018. As of Week 2, 2024, Samuel has 296 receptions, 4,286 receiving yards, 19 receiving touchdowns, 1,020 rushing yards, and 20 rushing touchdowns.

Deebo Samuel’s Recent Injury

Deebo Samuels is still injured. He suffered an MCL sprain and ankle sprain in week 14 of the 2022 NFL season. Initially, he was expected to make his return during the regular season itself but he did not play in any of the final four games.

As of July 2023, Deebo is still recovering from his injury. He has been participating in 49ers training camp but he is not fully cleared to practice. It is unclear when he will return to his 100 percent but the possibility doesn’t seem very far.

San Francisco expects him to make his full recovery by the start of the 2023 NFL season.
