Croatian tennis professional Borna Coric was born on November 14, 1996. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 12 in the world in 2018 and is currently ranked No. 16. Coric won the 2022 Cincinnati Masters and has won over $11 million in prize money till date.

Coric’s best Grand Slam performance came at the 2020 US Open, where he reached the quarter finals. He lost to Alexander Zvereve in four sets.

Coric won his maiden ATP title in April 2017 at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Morocco, an ATP 250 tournament. He beat Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany 5-7, 7-6, 7-5.

Another major triumph was at the Halle Open in Germany in June 2018, a 500-series tournament where he beat Roger Federer 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 in the final.

Coric defeated Hugo Gaston and the then-12th seed, Hubert Hurkacz, at the 2023 Mutua Madrid Open to get to his first Masters quarter final of the year. After that, he overcame Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the then-29th seed. By defeating Daniel Altmaier, he advanced to his fourth Masters semifinal and first on clay.

Coric defeated Thiago Monteiro at the 2023 Italian Open to get his 200th career victory, making him just the eighth person born in 1995 or later to accomplish that feat. He defeated qualifiers Fabian Marozsan and Roberto Carballés Baena to get to his fourth clay Masters quarterfinal in a row.
