Alexandar Georgiev is a Bulgarian-born Russian ice hockey goaltender playing for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on February 10, 1996, he is the first-ever Bulgarian-born Russian player competing in the NHL. Georgiev began his hockey journey in Russia, playing for the Moscow-based Penguins and later the Khimik Voskresensk. He then ventured into Finland, where debuted in the Liiga with TPS during the 2014–15 season.

Despite going undrafted in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Georgiev impressed the New York Rangers during their development camp, leading to his selection after which he signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Rangers. He was assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack for further development before making his NHL debut on February 22, 2018. Georgiev saved 35 shots in his debut against the Edmonton Oilers.

After playing with the Rangers for five seasons, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche on July 7, 2022. Notably, in January 2024, Georgiev became the first Bulgarian-born player to participate in the NHL All-Star game.
