Evan Bouchard is a Canadian defenceman for the Edmonton Oilers as of 2025. He won the OHL and Memorial Cup with the London Knights in 2016 and was later named team captain. In 2018, he was drafted 10th overall by the Oilers. Bouchard scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 25, 2018, becoming the youngest defenseman in Oilers history to do so. After returning to junior, he won the Max Kaminsky Trophy and served as an alternate captain for Canada at the 2019 World Juniors.

Bouchard became a full-time NHL player in 2021-22 and helped the Oilers reach the Western Conference Final. In the 2023 playoffs, he recorded eight points in one series, joining Paul Coffey as the only Oilers defensemen to do so. In the 2024 playoffs, Bouchard had 20 points in the first two rounds, a record for defensemen, and led all defensemen with 32 points as the Oilers reached Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
