Joshua David Manson is a Canadian/American defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. He initially wasn't interested in hockey but later developed into a defenseman while playing for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the BCHL. Manson's strong performance earned him a spot in the 2011 NHL Draft, where the Anaheim Ducks selected him. He also played college hockey for Northeastern University before turning pro.

Manson made his NHL debut with the Ducks in 2014 and quickly made an impact with his physical style of play. In his second season, he led the team in hits and scored his first NHL goal. Despite an injury in 2016 that ended his playoff run early, Manson signed a four-year extension with the Ducks in 2017.

Manson plays for the Leroy Braves in the LLHL. Over his career, he has played for several teams, starting with the Prince Albert Raiders U15 AA in 2013-14, followed by stints with various teams like the Prince Albert Timberwolves U18 AA, Prince Albert Mintos U18 AAA, and La Ronge Ice Wolves in the SJHL. He served as a captain with the La Ronge Ice Wolves during the 2019-20 season. Manson has also played for the Leroy Braves in 2020-21 and the 2024-25 season.
