Kevin Shattenkirk is an American professional ice hockey defenseman who most recently played for the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born January 29, 1989, in New Rochelle, New YorkDrafted 14th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Shattenkirk made his NHL debut in 2010. He has played for several teams throughout his career, including the Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Anaheim Ducks. Shattenkirk was part of the Tampa Bay Lightning team that won the Stanley Cup in 2020.

Before his NHL career, Shattenkirk honed his skills at Boston University, where he helped lead the Terriers to the 2009 NCAA National Championship. Shattenkirk served as captain of the Terriers in his junior year.
