
Kris Knoblauch was named the Edmonton Oilers' 18th head coach on November 13, 2023. He appeared in 213 WHL games before playing at the University of Alberta and in the CHL with the Austin Ice Bats. Knoblauch began his coaching career in the WHL with Prince Albert and later led the Kootenay Ice to a WHL championship in 2010–11.
