Kristopher Joseph Pierre Irwin Letang is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. He played three seasons of junior hockey with the Val-d'Or Foreurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and was drafted 62nd overall by the Penguins in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Letang won his first Stanley Cup in 2009, followed by two more championships in 2016 and 2017.

Letang had a standout junior career, earning QMJHL and CHL All-Rookie Team honors and later being named a QMJHL First Team All-Star. Internationally, he debuted for Canada at the 2005 U18 World Championships, securing a silver medal. He went on to win back-to-back gold medals at the World Junior Championships in 2006 and 2007, captaining Canada in his final year and earning a spot on the tournament All-Star team alongside Carey Price and Jonathan Toews.
