Born June 13, 2006, he was a top prospect from an early age, he was selected first overall by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft. Originally from Vancouver, he moved to the U.S. when his family relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. After showcasing his scoring talent at Shattuck-Saint Mary’s, he joined the Chicago Steel in the USHL for the 2022–23 season, setting a league record with 86 points as an under-17 player. He earned USHL Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Forward of the Year honors for his remarkable season.

Celebrini then joined Boston University in 2023. In his freshman season, he scored 32 goals and became the youngest player to win the prestigious Hobey Baker Award. He made his NHL debut on October 10, 2024, after signing a three-year rookie contract with the Sharks.
