His exceptional talent and performance led to him being selected first overall by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Celebrini signed with the Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the 2022–23 season where he made an immediate impact with a hat trick and winning the USHL Forward of the Week. He led the league with 86 points, setting a record for Under-17 players and earning Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Forward of the Year, becoming the first to earn all three awards in a single season.

Celebrini committed to Boston University in 2023. His freshman season saw him notch 32 goals and 32 assists in 38 games, ultimately winning the Hobey Baker Award as the youngest player to achieve this honor.
