Mika Zibanejad is a Swedish ice hockey professional centre and alternate captain for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Ottawa Senators sixth overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Zibanejad made his NHL debut during the first game of the 2011-2012 season. However, after playing nine games and scoring a sole point, he was reassigned to Djurgardens IF. Zibanejad made his return to the Senators lineup on January 29, 2013, against the Washington Capitals. He went to play 42 games that season, recording 20 points. After a few more years in the Senators organization, Zibanejad was traded to the New York Rangers in 2016. His performances underwent a drastic change with Zibanejad having his highest scoring season till date (41 goals in 2019-20) and his most productive season ( 91 points in 2022-23).
