Nick Suzuki plays as a center and is the captain of the Montreal Canadiens, as of March 2025. He was born in London, Ontario, on August 10, 1999. Suzuki is of Japanese descent and is considered Gosei, a term describing fifth-generation descendants of emigrants from Japan.

Nick Suzuki started playing for the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2015. He was signed by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and signed a three-year entry-level contract with them. He was traded by the Knights to the Montreal Canadiens in 2019. Nick made his NHL debut with the team in 2019 against the Carolina Hurricanes and his first NHL goal was scored against Alex Stakock of the Minnesota Wild. He is the youngest captain in the team's history.
