Nico Hischier is a Swiss professional ice hockey player who plays as a center and is the captain of the New Jersey Devils in the NHL. He began his professional career in Switzerland in 2015, playing in both the National League A and National League B. Hischier moved to North America in the 2016-17 season to join the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL, where he earned the Rookie of the Year honors.
