According to NHL, Tyler Toffoli has previously played for the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, New Jersey Devils, and Winnipeg Jets in the NHL.

Los Angeles Kings

Tyler Toffoli made his NHL debut with the Los Angeles Kings on March 16, 2013, in a game against the San Jose Sharks. He scored his first NHL goal two days later against Mike Smith of the Phoenix Coyotes.

During the 2012-13 season, Toffoli played for the Manchester Monarchs in the AHL, where he was named the Rookie of the Year after leading all rookies in goals. He played a crucial role in the Kings' playoff run, contributing to their Stanley Cup victory in 2014. During the 2014-15 season, Toffoli formed a successful line with Jeff Carter and Tanner Pearson. He also recorded a hat trick in an outdoor game and had multiple playoff appearances.

Vancouver Canucks

On February 17, 2020, Toffoli was traded to the Vancouver Canucks. He played on the top line alongside J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, scoring six goals in his first ten games. However, his playoff experience that year was cut short by a high-ankle sprain in the qualifying round against the Minnesota Wild. After returning to the lineup, he contributed to the team’s playoff effort but ultimately ended up with just one goal in the second round against the Vegas Golden Knights. Despite his contributions, the Canucks did not re-sign Toffoli after the season ended.

Montreal Canadiens

On October 12, 2020, Toffoli signed a four-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens. He made an immediate impact by scoring a hat trick in his first game against the Canucks. In the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season, he scored 28 goals and a series-winning goal against the Winnipeg Jets in the second round. However, he struggled with injuries during the finals and did not register points in his final games of the postseason. In the 2021-22 season, Toffoli faced a hand injury that required surgery.

Calgary Flames

Toffoli was traded to the Calgary Flames on February 14, 2022, where he reunited with former Kings coach Darryl Sutter. He scored his first goal with the Flames shortly after joining the team, netting seven goals in his first ten games. The Flames made the playoffs that season, but Toffoli experienced a scoring drought during the postseason. Despite this, he scored in a crucial Game 7 against the Dallas Stars.

New Jersey Devils

On June 27, 2023, Toffoli was traded to the New Jersey Devils, where he played 61 games, registering 26 goals and 18 assists.

Winnipeg Jets
