
Jack Drury is a center for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL), as of April 2025. He was drafted 42nd overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2018 NHL draft. He was traded to the Avalanche on January 24, 2025 in a three-team deal involving the Hurricanes and Chicago Blackhawks that sent Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall to the Hurricanes. Two days later, he scored his first goal for the Avalanche in a 5-4 win against the New York Rangers.
Before turning professional, Jack played for the Harvard Crimson and Vaxjo Lakers, where he was a finalist for the SHL Rookie of the Year award in 2021. He has earned several awards throughout his hockey career. In 2018, he was named to the All-USHL Second Team. During his college career, he made the 2019 ECAC All-Rookie Team and the 2020 ECAC Second All-Star Team. He later won the Calder Cup in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2022.
