Aerial Powers family

Aerial Powers, born on January 17, 1994, in Detroit, Michigan, is a basketball player for the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA as of September 2024. She played high school basketball at Detroit Country Day High School, where she led her team to four consecutive regional championships. Following her high school success, Powers continued her basketball at Michigan State University, playing for the Spartans. During her college career, she earned spots on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and the Big Ten All-Defensive Team. She was also named to the First-team All-Big Ten three times (2014–2016).

In the 2016 WNBA Draft, Powers was selected fifth overall by the Dallas Wings. She had an impressive rookie season, making the WNBA All-Rookie Team with an average of 10.4 points per game. After two seasons with the Wings, Powers joined the Washington Mystics, where she played for two more seasons and helped the team secure the 2019 WNBA Championship.
