The Washington Mystics drafted Georgia Amoore as the sixth overall pick in the 2025 WNBA draft. She played as a guard for the Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team in the South Eastern Conference before her draft. She started her career with the Virginia Tech Hokies in 2020. Amoore took home a bronze at the U-18 World Cup and a gold at the U-16 Asian Cup. In 2019, she received the Rising Star Award. Before joining the Virginia Tech Hokies in 2020, Amoore was a member of the NBL1 Ballarat Rush.

Amoore was selected to the Atlantic Coast Conference's (ACC) All-Freshman Team, according to the Virginia Tech Hokies website. She was named an All-ACC honorable mention in her second year. As a senior, Amoore was in the First Team All-ACC and the Second Team ACC All-Tournament.
