She attended Baylor University in 2015, where she played 147 games, scoring 2,209 points and grabbing 1,129 rebounds. Brown became an NCAA champion in her senior year and was a two-time Big 12 Tournament most outstanding player.

Brown made her WNBA debut with the Los Angeles Sparks after being selected as the 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 WNBA draft. As of September 2024, she has played 110 WNBA games, scoring 648 points with an average of 5.9 points per game, grabbed 373 rebounds, and made 91 assists. She has also played internationally, including for the Chinese basketball league for Xinjiang Magic Deer, as well as other teams around the globe in different leagues.
