According to reports, Krunal met Pankhuri Sharma in 2016 during the Indian Premier League. A mutual friend introduced Pankhuri to Krunal over the phone. Pretty soon into the relationship, Krunal thought of making it official. Hence, Krunal Pandya proposed to Pankhuri after the Mumbai Indians won the IPL 2017 trophy, where he was named the Man of the Match in the final. Krunal is said to have gone down on his knees, clutching the IPL cup in his hand, to propose to Pankhuri.

Krunal Pandya married Pankhuri Sharma on December 27, 2017, at the JW Marriott in Mumbai, Juhu. The wedding was accompanied by a reception attended by several celebrities, including the Ambanis, Amitabh Bacchan, Irfan Pathan, Rohit Sharma, and Sachin Tendulkar.
