Carlos Alcaraz early life
Carlos Alcaraz was born on May 5, 2003, in El Palmar, Spain. The Spanish sensation began playing tennis at the Real Sociedad Club de Campo at four. When he turned eleven, he was signed by IMG with the help of Albert Molina, who also introduced him to Juan Carlos Ferrero. Carlos Sr. considers Alfredo Sarria a brother, and the two run the Carlos Alcaraz Academy at Tiro de Pichón together (via The Guardian). Sarria was initially impressed by Alcaraz's ability after watching him play padel with his brother, Ivaro, when he was four years old.

Carlos Alcaraz personal life
Carlos Alcaraz's father was his very first trainer. Tomás, Alcaraz's uncle, frequently recalls taking him to his first competition when he was five. Alcaraz competed against a considerably taller and older opponent who was two to three years his senior. Instead of the depressurized balls typically intended for players his age, they used adult-sized balls. Alcaraz changed his approach after losing the first, in which the ball often bounced over his head. Recalling the match, Alfredo Sarria said (via The Guardian):
"Instead of letting it bounce, he moved into the forecourt and volleyed every shot, hitting the ball without letting it bounce. And he almost won the match because he had the skill [and] he had the resources to say: 'Well, I can’t win like this, I’m going to win this other way.'"

Carlos Alcaraz diet
Carlos Alcaraz isn't a good chef, as the Spaniard reluctantly agreed in an interview a few years ago. He mentioned:
"I only know the basics. Pasta, tortillas... I’d like to know more things because I like cooking, but I still haven’t had the time to learn. I’ll do it at some point, yes. But in Murcia, I live with my parents, so I don’t cook. If I live on my own one day, yes, I’d like to learn to cook for myself and cook for people who come over. Also, to look after myself in that regard when I’m in Murcia."
Carlos Alcaraz talked about his dietary discipline, saying that although he didn't follow a strict diet, he was aware of the foods he was eating. He highlighted the instances in which he had to adhere to stringent dietary regulations. Carlos responded that he didn't have a professional dietician when asked how he made dietary decisions. Rather, he learned about nutrition gradually thanks to his physiotherapist, Juanjo Moreno, who helped him during competitions and continuously researched nutrition.
Alcaraz went on to talk about his eating habits, emphasizing that he prefers fish to beef. He claimed to have had a lot of spaghetti since he believed it was beneficial for athletes. He ate a lot of different meals, such as sushi, rice, and salad. Regarding guilty pleasures, Carlos said he didn't like sweets or pastries. However, he acknowledged that he occasionally resorted to his favorite comfort foods—pizza and hamburgers—while he was in Murcia. (via ATP Tour)
