Taylor Hall is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger, playing with the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League. Born on November 14, 1991, he was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers as the first overall pick of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Hall belongs to a sport-loving family, he was born in Calgary to parents Steve Hall and Kim Strba. Steve and Strba introduced Hall to hockey at the age of five. Hall played hockey in Calgary with North East Canucks where he won the Bantam AAA Calgary city championship during the 2004-05 season.

He joined the Ontario Hockey League with the Windsor Spitfires in the 2007-2008 season and contributed to the team to claim the Memorial Cup in 2009 and 2010. Hall was awarded the Stafford Smythe Memorial twice for being the most valuable player in the Memorial Cup Tournament. He has had an impressive career till now.
