Tora (Anbu) is a fictional character in the popular manga and its anime adaptation, the Naruto series, written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Tora is a character in the Naruto series that first appeared in the Naruto Shippuden Episode 140 titled, “Fate.” He was an Anbu-ranked shinobi of Konohagakure, popularly known as the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Based on the information available, he is presumed deceased. He worked directly under the command of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi himself.

Very little is known about his childhood as Tora’s past is still shrouded in mystery. Tora was a member of Konoha’s Anbu unit. Being an Anbu, Tora’s real identity is unknown. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background other than the fact that he was one of Konoha’s finest shinobi and a member of Anbu Black Ops.
Tora originally debuted in episode 140 of Naruto Shippuden. When the Third Hokage was in power, he was first introduced as an Anbu Black Ops shinobi directly under Hiruzen's command. Tora was tasked with monitoring the Uchiha clan and following their activities alongside other Anbu units. This responsibility was given to the Anbu in order to supervise and prevent rebellion by the Uchiha clan.
Since Tora has not been seen since this incident, it is hard to determine whether he is dead or alive. Unless new information comes to light that suggests otherwise, it is currently believed that he is dead.
Due to his lack of appearance in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Tora’s personality. From his status and limited appearance, it can be deduced that Tora is a responsible adult. Judging from his Anbu status, he is sure to be a reliable shinobi dedicated to serving and protecting his village, Konoha.
Tora was a member of Anbu Black Ops so his real identity was kept a secret. In his Anbu attire, Tora wore a standard black hooded robe. To hide his identity, he wore a white mask with whiskers all over it with car-like ear spots from the looks of it.
Tora was never seen unleashing his abilities in the Naruto series. Judging from his Anbu status, it is safe to say that he was a remarkable shinobi with formidable strength and remarkable abilities. It is stated that Tora possessed tiger-like strength and speed and his opponents had no hope of escaping once they fell into his grasp.
