Brady became the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers upon joining the franchise. Brady made his debut in the first game of the 2020 NFL season, against the New Orleans Saints.

Tom Brady’s first season with the Buccaneers was the 2020 NFL season which was played behind closed doors for the most part due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After losing his debut match against the New Orleans Saints, Brady put in spectacular performances to win three consecutive games. In the Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Brady became the oldest quarterback to have made 5 touchdown passes in a single game. The Rams eventually won in overtime with a field goal.
