One of the greatest Croatian tennis players, Marin Cilic, has won 20 ATP singles titles in his career, including one Masters 1000 final. The 35-year-old achieved his career-high singles ranking of World No. 3 by the ATP in January 2018. He has reached the semifinals of all four major tournaments and the quarter final stage of nine Masters 1000 titles.

Cilic was the winner of the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the doubles category with Ivan Dodig. The duo lost to Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic in the final.
