Serena Williams has won a total of 39 Grand Slam titles, 23 of them for Grand Slam singles. Serena was ranked world No.1 in Women's Tennis singles by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) in 2002, she was just 21 years old! She has repeated this on 8 different occasions and has been world No.1 for a total of 319 weeks, third longest in "Open Era" Tennis.
She also holds the record for most Grand Slam titles in singles, doubles and mixed doubles combined.
Serena's journey to the top was not an easy one, she is often considered as one of the most insipring athlete's of all time by fans around the world.
