French tennis player Ugo Humbert is a 26-year-old professional player who is a powerful force to reckon with on the ATP circuit. By holding a win-loss record of 143-125, Humbert is ranked No. 14 as of December 2024. He achieved his career-high ranking of World No. 13 on April 15, 2024. Humbert recorded his best grand slam performance by reaching the fourth round of the 2024 Wimbledon, defeating Gael Monfils en route. He advanced to the final of the 2024 Japan Open, losing to compatriot Arthur Fils despite winning the first set.

Humbert has won a total of 6 ATP singles titles, including the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships and the 2024 Marseille Open. He became the third man in the Open Era to win six titles out of the first six finals after Martin Klizan and Ernests Gulbis. He reached his maiden Masters 1000 final at the 2024 Paris Masters, registering wins with Carlos Alcaraz and Karen Khachanov. However, he lost to Alexander Zverev in the final by 6-2, 6-2. Being an offensive player, he is known for hitting volleys, with backhand being his favourite shot.

With the end of 2024 approaching, Ugo Humbert has not won any Olympic medals in his career. He participated in the Olympics hosted in 2021 and 2024 but failed to convert it to victory. At the 2021 Summer Olympics, Humbert reached the quarterfinals by registering a win over Stefanos Tsitsipas and Miomir Kecmanovic en route.

In the quarterfinals, he faced Karen Khachanov but failed to defeat him with a final scoreline of 7-6, 4-6, 6-3. Humbert also competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the doubles category with Arthur Fils, losing to Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen.

Former professional tennis player Jeremy Chardy and Humbert’s girlfriend Tessah Andrianjafitrimo are the coaches of Ugo Humbert. Under the coaching of his girlfriend, Humbert emerged in winning the 2024 Dubai Tennis Championships and the 2024 Open 13 Provence. Andrianjafitrimo has taken a break from professional tennis due to an injury and also coached him in 2020. She mostly competes on the ITF circuit and has won 8 ITF in singles and two on the doubles circuit.

On the other hand, the 37-year-old Chardy registered his best grand performance by reaching the quarterfinals of the 2013 Australian Open. He also competed in the doubles category and reached the final of the 2019 French Open with Fabrice Martin. He was part of the winning France team of the 2017 Davis Cup. He won his maiden ATP singles title at the 2009 Stuttgart Open, defeating Victor Hanescu in the final.
