2025 NHL 4 Nations Face-Off - Media Day

The 2025 4 Nations Face-Off is set for February 12 to February 20, 2025, in Montreal and Boston, featuring NHL players from Finland, Sweden, Canada, and the United States. This tournament will be the first best-on-best event since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Each team will have 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and three goalies, playing under NHL rules in a round-robin format.

The round-robin schedule includes exciting matchups like Canada vs. Sweden on February 12 and the United States vs. Finland on February 13 at Montreal’s Bell Centre. TD Garden will host the final group games, including Canada vs. Finland and Sweden vs. the United States on February 17, leading up to the highly anticipated final. Broadcast coverage will be available on major networks like ESPN, ABC, TNT, and Sportsnet.

4 nations Face-Off Sweden Coach

According to the official website of the NHL, The coach for Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament is Sam Hallam.

Sam Hallam was born on July 15, 1979, in Västerort, Sweden. He is 45 years old and is a Swedish ice hockey coach. He is the head coach of Sweden’s national team. Hallam has won several major coaching awards. He is a 3-time SHL Champion and a 2-time SHL Coach of the Year. He also led Sweden to a World Championship Bronze Medal. (via Elite Prospects)

Hallam became Sweden’s head coach in 2021. Before that, he was head coach of Växjö Lakers HC from 2012 to 2021, winning multiple titles. He started his coaching career in 2006 with Bofors IK as an assistant coach and became their head coach in 2008.

As a player, Hallam competed for AIK, Tumba/Botkyrka, and Bofors IK. His best season was in 1998-99 with AIK J20, scoring 35 points in 36 games. He retired as a player and shifted to coaching in the early 2000s. (via Elite Prospects)

His assistant coaches include Stefan Klockare and Nicklas Rahm from SIHA, along with former NHL player Daniel Alfredsson, who is with the Ottawa Senators.
