Elias Lindholm is a Swedish professional ice hockey player for the Boston Bruins, as of Jan 2025. He was selected fifth overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2013 NHL Draft and spent his first five seasons with them. Lindholm started his career with the Brynäs IF U18 team, where he was the second-leading scorer.

His skills led to a selection by SKA St. Petersburg in the 2013 KHL Draft (86th overall). He later played for Brynäs in the Swedish Elite League while also representing Sweden in various international tournaments, including the U18 World Junior Championship.

Carolina Hurricanes (2013-18)

Elias Lindholm debuted for the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2013–14 NHL season, earning a spot on the opening roster. He scored his first NHL goal on October 10, 2013, becoming the youngest Swedish-born player to do so at 18 years and 311 days, against Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals.

On March 8, 2015, Lindholm recorded his first career hat trick in a win over the Edmonton Oilers. Over the next few seasons, he posted solid numbers, with 11 goals and 34 assists in the 2016-17 season, followed by 16 goals and 28 assists in the 2017-18 season.

Calgary Flames (2018-2024)

In 2018, Lindholm was traded to the Calgary Flames along with Noah Hanifin and signed a six-year contract. He played alongside Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan on the top line. In his first season with the Flames, Lindholm set career highs with 27 goals and 78 points. The following season, despite the COVID-19 pandemic's disruption, he set a new personal best with 29 goals.

The 2020–21 season saw Lindholm return to the center position under new coach Darryl Sutter, forming a strong line with Gaudreau and Matthew Tkachuk. Although the Flames missed the playoffs, Lindholm's performance remained notable. In the 2021–22 season, Lindholm reached a career milestone, scoring 40 goals, while the Flames secured the Pacific Division title. He was also a finalist for the Frank J. Selke Trophy. Lindholm played a crucial role in the Flames' playoff run, helping them reach the second round.

Vancouver Canucks (January 2024 to July 2024)

On January 31, 2024, Elias Lindholm was traded to the Vancouver Canucks, marking a new phase in his career. Joining the Canucks in the final year of his contract, Lindholm scored two or more goals in his debut, making him only the fifth player in Canucks' history to do so. He also tied the franchise record for most game-winning goals by a player in their first six games with the team.

Boston Bruins (July 2024 to present)

After his contract with the Vancouver Canucks ended, Elias Lindholm became a free agent. On July 1, 2024, he signed a seven-year, $54.25 million contract with the Boston Bruins, returning to the Eastern Conference.
