Evan Rodriguez is a professional ice hockey forward who plays for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League. Notably, he went undrafted and later signed an entry-level contract with the Buffalo Sabres in 2015 and was assigned to the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League (AHL) to further hone his skills. He later made his debut in 2016.

However, Rodrigues kept bouncing between the NHL and AHL till the 2017-18 season. During the 2018-19 season, his performance improved with 29 points in 74 games, as per Hockey Reference. Nonetheless, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2020, where he played for three seasons. During his time with the Penguins, Rodrigues, along with teammate Bryan Rust, recorded hat-tricks in a single game, a milestone not seen with the Penguins since 2008. Moving on, he joined the Colorado Avalanche as a free agent before he was traded again, this time to the Florida Panthers.
