Jon Cooper is a Canadian-American professional ice hockey coach and the head coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League, as of April 2025. He has been the head coach of the Lightning since 2013. Cooper led the Lightning to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2020 and 2021. He also helped his team reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 2015 and 2022.

Cooper, who is a two-time Jack Adams Award finalist, holds the record of being the fastest coach to reach 400 career NHL wins and also has the longest tenure among active NHL coaches. Beyond the NHL, he has coached Canada in the past. He guided Canada to the silver medal at the 2017 IIHF World Championship and will coach Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
