Mackenzie Blackwood is a Canadian goaltender for the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. Born on December 9, 1996, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, he took up goaltending at age 12. Drafted 42nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2015, Blackwood worked his way through the OHL and AHL before making his NHL debut in 2018. He has also played for the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche as of May 2025.

Blackwood became a key player for the Devils before joining the San Jose Sharks in 2023. In December 2024, he was traded to the Avalanche, where he signed a five-year contract extension. Internationally, Blackwood represented Canada at the 2019 IIHF World Championship, winning a silver medal.
