Mathew Dumba is a professional Canadian ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Dallas Stars in the NHL as of 2024. Born July 25, 1994, Dumba was selected seventh overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2012 NHL Draft. He spent his first ten seasons with the Wild and later played for the Coyotes. Dumba's hockey journey began in junior leagues, playing first for the Red Deer Rebels and briefly for the Portland Winterhawks in the WHL. His early success was clear, with impressive stats and winning the WHL Rookie of the Year award.
