Patrick Maroon is an American professional ice hockey left winger, playing for the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL as of 2024. Born on April 23, 1988, in St. Louis, Missouri, he is fondly known as "Big Rig." Maroon has had a successful career, having previously played for several teams, including the Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Minnesota Wild, and Boston Bruins. He is a three-time Stanley Cup champion, winning the title with the Blues in 2019 and back-to-back championships with the Lightning in 2020 and 2021.

He was drafted 161st overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft after notable seasons with the Texarkana Bandits in the NAHL. Maroon made his NHL debut during the 2011-12 season with the Ducks and has since been recognized for his contributions to the league.
