
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is a professional ice hockey forward and alternate captain for the Edmonton Oilers. He was selected first overall by the Oilers in the 2011 NHL Draft. Before that, he was the top pick in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft and played with Red Deer, posting 106 points in the 2010–11 season. He had 52 points as an NHL rookie and was runner-up for the 2012 Calder Trophy. He also captained Canada at the 2013 World Juniors and was named the tournament’s best forward.
