Sam Reinhart is a Canadian ice hockey forward for the Florida Panthers in the NHL, as of May 2025. He was drafted second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with Buffalo in the 2014–15 season but was returned to junior after nine games. He became a full-time NHL player in 2015–16, finishing with 23 goals and 42 points in his rookie season.
Reinhart was traded to the Florida Panthers on July 24, 2021. He scored 57 goals, including 25 on the power play and five shorthanded, during the 2023–24 season. Reinhart is the fourth player in NHL history to finish a regular season with 50 goals and also score the Cup-winning goal. He signed an eight-year contract extension with Florida on July 1, 2024, and was named to Team Canada for the 4 Nations Face-Off in the 2024–25 season.
