The Utah Hockey Club are a professional ice hockey team, competing in the NHL's Western Conference. The team began their inaugural season in 2024-25 after being granted an expansion franchise. They play at the Delta Center, the home of the Utah Jazz, owned by Ryan Smith and his wife, Ashley.

Ryan Smith, a tech billionaire, began exploring the idea of bringing an NHL team to Utah in 2020. In 2024, he purchased the hockey assets of the Arizona Coyotes, allowing the Utah Hockey Club to form. The team kept the Coyotes' roster and coaching staff, including head coach André Tourigny and captain Clayton Keller. The Utah Hockey Club’s first season began with a three-game winning streak.
