
The Winnipeg Jets are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They compete in the NHL as a Western Conference's Central Division member. The team plays their home games at the Canada Life Centre and is owned by True North Sports & Entertainment.
Originally established as the Atlanta Thrashers in 1999, the franchise relocated to Winnipeg in 2011 and was renamed the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets have yet to secure a Stanley Cup, Conference Championship, or Presidents’ Trophy. Led by general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff and head coach Scott Arniel, the Jets are captained by Adam Lowry. Their minor league affiliates include the Manitoba Moose (AHL) and Norfolk Admirals (ECHL).

Pieri Memorial Award as Coach of the Year. Winnipeg Jets' head coaches year-by-year
Since 2011, the Winnipeg Jets have had five head coaches. Claude Noel was the first, followed by Paul Maurice in 2014. Maurice led the team to the 2018 Western Conference Finals.
