Brionna Jones, born on December 12, 1995, in Baltimore, Maryland, is a professional women’s basketball player for the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA. At 6 foot 3 inches tall Jones began her basketball journey at Aberdeen High School, where she won a state championship. Following her school success, Jones joined the University of Maryland, playing for the Maryland Terrapins women's college team. During her time in college, she earned three First-Team All-Big Ten selections and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2017 Big Ten Tournament. In the same year, she won the Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection.

In the 2017 WNBA Draft, Jones was selected as the eighth overall pick by the Connecticut Sun. Her career took a major turn in 2021 when she averaged 14.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game and earned the WNBA Most Improved Player award. Her impact continued to grow in 2022 when she was named WNBA Sixth Player of the Year. She also got a chance to play in three ALL-star games in the league. Jones plays as a power forward for the Sun, contributing an average of 13.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game as of September 3, 2024.
