Alex de Minaur is a 25-year-old Australian professional player who has made a strong start to the season with his performance at the 2024 United Cup and Mexican Open. In the team competition, the tennis sensation defeated three consecutive top-10 players, including World No. 1 Novak Djokovic. As a result, he made his debut in the top-10 ranking list. He is ranked No. 9 as of November 2024 and achieved a career-high ranking of No. 6 on July 2024.

Alex De Minaur has won nine ATP titles till date, including the 2024 Mexican Open. He became the first Australian to win the championship match since 2001 after winning the 2024 Libéma Open. He defeated Sebastian Korda in straight sets to win his ninth ATP title. Having never previously made it past the fourth round at the Masters tournament, de Minaur reached his first Masters final at the National Bank Open 2023 by defeating back-to-back top-rank players Taylor Fritz and Daniil Medvedev.

De Minaur ended the season by booking a spot in his first-ever 2024 Nitto ATP Finals, thus becoming the first Australian man since Lleyton Hewitt in 2004 in singles. He registered his best major performance by reaching three back-to-back quarterfinals: the 2024 French Open, the 2024 Wimbledon Open and the 2024 US Open. He finished quarterfinalist at the 2024 Paris Masters, losing to Holger Rune. For his speed and agility on the court, he has earned himself a name called Speed Demon.

Alex de Minaur's coaching staff includes Adolfo Gutierrez and Peter Luczak. Additionally, former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt also guides him as a mentor. Luczak also coaches Australian players Jordan Thompson and John Millman, and works with De Minaur on a part time basis.

After adding Luczak to his team, Alex de Minaur said “He’s one of the most positive guys out there and he’s done a lot of years on tour as well so it’ll be a great little partnership to kind of split weeks between my basically childhood coach Adolfo and now Peter.”
