Dayana Yastremska made headlines worldwide after knocking out two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka and 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova at the 2024 Australian Open.

As of January 2025, Yastremska has lifted three WTA single titles in her career, including the Hua Hin and Strasbourg Open in 2019. She started her 2025 season on a note by reaching the quarterfinal of the 2025 Hobart International, defeating Ann Li and Katie Volynets en route. However, she lost to eventual winner McCartney Kessler in the final by 7-5, 6-4.

Dayana Yastremska made her WTA tour debut at the Istanbul Cup at the age of 15 in 2016. She won her first WTA singles title at the Hong Kong Open in 2018 and has won three singles titles in her career so far.
