Logan Cooley is an American professional ice hockey center playing for the Utah Hockey Club in the NHL. Born on May 4, 2004, he was initially drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Cooley had an impressive journey to the league, starting with standout performances for the U.S. National U18 Team and then the University of Minnesota. During his freshman year at Minnesota in the 2022-23 season, he recorded 60 points, 22 goals and 38 assists in 39 games. He becomes one of the NCAA’s top players. Although he initially planned to return to college, Cooley eventually signed a three-year contract with the Coyotes in July 2023. He debuted in the NHL with two assists, making an immediate impact. In 2024, after the Coyotes’ assets were transferred to the new Utah Hockey Club, Cooley became a member of the newly established team.
