Matthew Tkachuk is the alternate captain for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL) as of 2025. He was born on Dеcеmbеr 11, 1997, in Scottsdalе, Arizona. During his junior career, he played in various youth leagues and eventually joined the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP).

Matthew Tkachuk led the Florida Panthers to the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals, where they were defeated by the Vegas Golden Knights, who won the best-of-seven series 4-1. As of January 2025, Tkachuk has been selected for the NHL All-Star Game twice and finished seventh in the 2017 Calder Memorial Trophy voting. On the international stage, he has represented the United States at multiple levels. He earned a gold medal at the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge and another gold at the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championships.
