Tage Thompson is an American professional ice hockey player who plays as a center for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL), as of 2024. He played junior hockey for the United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) from 2014 to 2015. He was drafted as the 26th overall pick in the 2016 NHL draft. Thompson played college hockey for the University of Connecticut from 2016 to 2017. During his two years at the University of Connecticut, Thompson appeared in 70 games, scoring 33 goals and 64 points.

Tage Thompson was a member of the United States team and won gold medals at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship and 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship. In the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Tage won the bronze medal with the United States team. He was also a member of the United States team that won the bronze medal at the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. Tage Thompson was named to his first NHL All-Star Game in 2023.
