Tom Wilson, born on March 29, 1994, is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger and alternate captain for the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Selected by the Capitals in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Wilson has become known for his physical and aggressive style of play. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Wilson began playing hockey at the age of two and transitioned from a year as a minor ice hockey defenseman to a forward.

Throughout his career, he has faced injuries and controversy, particularly for hits that have drawn league scrutiny. Despite this, Wilson has evolved his game, emphasizing point production over physicality in recent seasons. His contributions to the Capitals, including a pivotal role in their 2018 Stanley Cup victory, have solidified him as a key player and leader for the team.
