She missed the next two seasons as she was waived for the 2021 season and got injured in 2022. After an inconsistent start to her career, Sutton found her home in Phoenix with the Phoenix Mercury in 2023 and made history in her first season.

Sutton recorded the first-ever triple-double in Mercury’s history and 32nd in WNBA’s history. She recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists against the Las Vegas Aces. After signing a training camp contract with the Mercury for the 2024 season, Sutton was traded mid-season to the Mystics. She is averaging 2.5 points, 1.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in the 2024 season.
