UFC 220: Almeida v Font

American mixed martial artist Robert Spencer Font was born on June 25, 1987. He currently fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Bantamweight division, and he has fought professionally since 2011. Prior to that, he fought at CES MMA, where he held the title of Featherweight Champion. He is ranked #8 among bantamweights in the UFC as of November 2023.

On July 5, 2014, at UFC 175, Font faced George Roop in his first promotional match. In the opening round, he knocked Roop out. He also received a bonus for the Performance of the Night. Font was scheduled to compete against Chris Beal at UFC Fight Night 50 on September 5, 2014. Font, however, withdrew from the fight due to an injury.

On April 30, 2022, Font and Marlon Vera squared off in the UFC on ESPN 35. At the weigh-ins, Font came in at 138.5 pounds, 2.5 pounds over the limit for a non-title bantamweight fight. A catchweight was used for the fight, and Font gave Vera 20% of his earnings in exchange. Font lost the fight by unanimous decision.

Font was set to fight Song Yadong in a main card bout at UFC 292. However, he was chosen as a last minute replacement for Umar Nurmagomedov, who withdrew from his main event matchup against Cory Sandhagen at UFC on ESPN 50 on August 5, 2023. Unfortunately, Font did not emerge victorious in the contest, as he suffered a unanimous decision loss. His last fight was a unanimous decision loss against former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs. Tsarukyan on December 2, 2023.
