“The Problem Child,” as he calls himself, came into the public eye through Vine. Eventually transitioning to YouTube, Jake, along with his brother Logan, had over 100,000 followers. It didn’t take long for a major brand like Disney to acknowledge Jake’s talent and eye for content. He was offered a role in Disney’s Bizaardvark, which, according to him, made him a trained TV actor. In 2014, he was awarded the Social Media Star at the Radio Disney Music Awards.

From age 17 - 24 Jake has been subjected to major controversies, but it didn’t stop him and his brother Logan from building an empire through social media. Apart from the creative side, Jake has mastered the business aspect, too. When asked about his passion for both aspects, Paul had the following to say -

"I love both, I really love both. It'd be hard for me to decide which one I like better, but in the case of my company now, they go hand in hand. I think that's what I've tried to create, something where I could do both versus just one."

With a net worth of more than $60 million, Paul has treated himself with some lavish properties. In 2017, along with YouTube group ‘Team 10’, Paul moved into Grandiose Calabasas Mansion. The mansion was one of the first content houses ever. With an area of 15,000 sq. ft, it reportedly cost Jake $6.9 million.

In late 2020, it was reported that Jake had decided to sell the mansion. The decision was made after several controversies and was announced via an emotional YouTube video.

"It's the end of an era and the start of a new one... I've lived here since I was 17, and to leave it all behind is not easy. This house is nostalgic, and this is probably one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my life."

"The main reason for this is that I'm stepping into a new chapter of life. I am a legitimate pro fighter, and being in Los Angeles, there's so many distractions, there's so much going on, and it doesn't really allow me to focus on training."

The value that was reportedly put up by Paul was $7 million. However, he ended up taking a major hit as he had to settle for $6.15 million, $775, 000 less than what Jake bought it for.
